>>1418634Photoshop: I use for the filter sets and sfx, some scanlation editing, and anything requiring borderline Illustrator work without leaving raster.
PSP7: I use for the PNG&JPG algorithm since both suck in PS also use it for cropping and scaling since again PS sucks at it.
SAI: I use for painting touchup heavy edits like that Cirno and Okuu wallpaper. Mostly paint in it though.
Gimp: I used once for fooling with a heavy brush mod beta. Guess it would be good if you did not have PS. It also has a lot of mods A LOT. The ui and file manager is too linux for me. I was stuck for 5 yrs working with unix and hated it. It isnt linux but close enough, same can be said for Lightwave, old version I had was like dos commands to uplevel folders and change hdds/network drives. HAHA BUT still I cannot discount a app with such a strong modability. That brush pack I was using was nearly on par with Photoshops custom sets. I think it lacked tablet angle data but this was beta so it might have changed.
There are other apps too like My Paint (fails psp ability but still strong painter)
Illst studio (like sai mixed with photoshop) but it bluescreens my pcs, all 12 of em. I think it is a illegal character somewhere and win7, suckability with applocale
Open Canvas and all it's iterations (comic studio and whatnot)
wall of text!
