Also - I don't want to piss you off, but I can't seem to stop myself when I hear of data loss of any kind - backups. Backups, backups, backups. I've got all my important uni stuff in my Dropbox, and I do hourly backups courtesy of Time Machine, which is one of the perks of being a macfag (there's similar software for Windows and *NIX, though I can't tell you what's good and what isn't; if you're on *NIX, fsync and cron/runwhen might be interesting to look into). Additionally, I've got a few mirrored large external drives for storing movies and shows. It's actually quite amazing how much space you can get nowadays for one or three hundred dollars.
