>>1440435litestep doesn't need to have any sort of taskbar, it's up to the theme creator. there are tonnes of modules which enable one to create any kind of display you want all within one theme.
i myself of course do not know how to do that, but i've seen lots of different themes that do so. i like my desktop a bit more minimal, however.
the theme i have on here is called msOLD Suite. I used to use one called amana2 (so named as it is an inverse colour scheme of a theme called anama), but something randomly broke down with one of the modules it uses, so it would crash upon launch. i even formatted and reinstalled everything, and then in just a week the same thing happened, so i forced myself to change themes.
and yes, i love winamp. my theme is chiral.
i also use a windows visual style called Sombras (part of a two-theme pack called Kombo by kiko11, the other is the inverse shade called Snow). i tried out APPOWS2010, especially Peek, but i found it too dark compared to my litestep (and bblean for that matter).
i tried it out and am thinking of switching to bblean if i can get it all set up like some of these guys have.
i find it kinda weird that the bblean theme actually overlays a bar on the top of all programs. i read in here that you can give it an exception, though. i dunno, i believe it would crash if i tried to click refresh or something like that.
