yeah, i just inverted the appows css pretty much. i removed some glow on the font, and use the firefox theme and font size changer extension to change the rest (font and color) so the font itself in the code could still show flat white for you. this is the extention im talking about: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ some people mentioned it not working for them, but its a global override and ive never had it not work for me using both nightly and firefox 16. http://pastebin.com/d6M6ejjf this is the firefox css im using, and this is the 4chan ss theme as well: http://pastebin.com/fiEfYQ24.

if your titlebar is still appearing black, the theme isnt working properly. take control and replace the shell files again, then logout and log back in your desktop or just reboot.

if youre looking for the name of the visual style, its appows dusk. the style script is made to work with it, so its still appows dusk. it doesnt have a true "name" unless the coder names it. even then, its stupid to name it or ask for a name for it. if you refer to the link here http://pastebin.com/W0SsUtEH like it was recommended to you, ctrl+f and search "firefox css" you'd see several links to different style sheet recommendations. Either way, i still dont think you have any idea what youre talking about.

What do you bblean people do to make your browsers pretty? I've read the pastebin and tried all the CSS styles, but they all end up looking broken. Also, how do you post when using oneechan, there doesn't seem to be any option for it.

For the CSS, I have just been copying the raw text and putting it into stylish scripts. This is what I get.

I also had to toggle off Toggle Skin in bblean because firefox.exe wasn't working the exclusion list (even though iron was)

Speaking of iron, has anyone do any equivilent CSS work for chromium browsers?

Otherwise, your visual style is bugging me out. Might want to try installing bblean as a shell, and messing with the appearance of the windows in your performance settings. Be sure your saving you .rc settings and then restart bblean to see if they're applying correctly. I think CSS is built into chrome itself, but have no details and have never seen anyone skin it.

Funny, that was exactly what I was missing. I kinda went full retard and forgot I could just change the background color with the theme font and font size change. Thanks for reminding me. I might end up blind with this setup but it looks so damn fancy.

every time I try bblean, firefox always looks ugly. if the menu bar is disabled, there's a bar above the tabs that keeps flashing. when the menu bar is enabled, there's weird transparent bits. never again.

I try to last at least a month with a wall unless I truly ditest it like I did with mu=y red/orange desktop. Otherwise I spend to much time on it and forget to do anything else. Also I really like yours especially the foobar setup and colors.

Thanks, the only thing I really change now is the colors of fb2k/hexchat/bblean to match my wallpaper change so it doesn't take THAT much time but yeah I find it time consuming at times when I should really be doing something else.

I think you should just dim it down a bit, similar to the blue on the rainmeter clock. It's pretty bright compared to the rest of your blues

if you remove a window from the normal tab set up it will glitch out. i think you should try starting over from the beginning. keep in mind your windows visual style effects the scrollbar and window colors.

so, close everything and restart firefox with all the scripts disabled then try toggling it on again. its entirely possible you missed some of the code in the paste since your tabs and url bar remain unchanged. you should completely unload the bbleanskin until you get it figured out.

Well I only changed color codes, but the TF&FSC did almost all of the work. I'm pretty satisfied with the way it all turned out. Hopefully going to stick with it for more than just a few days. Thanks to you, Mono and Ahoka as well, since you all have served as inspiration for my themes.

a few protips
put these in your Exclusions for firefox/nightly:
xul.dll:MozillaHiddenWindowClass

i find it best to comment out something if you want to turn it off permanently , if you wanted to turn off bbleanskin permanently just go to plugins.rc just put a # in-front of "plugins\bbLeanSkin\bbLeanSkin.dll", and then you could always un-comment it later if needed.

and for your own wallpapers i find it easier to
blackbox>>configuration>>graphics>>uncheck enable background
doing this you can change your wallpaper using your display settings like before blackbox was installed.

Ok I give up. I've reinstalled bblean, firefox, making sure to delete all user settings and addons, cleaned the registry. Then I reinstalled bblean as the shell and reinstalled the firefox addons according to the pastebin. Firefox still doesn't look right.

There isn't anything wrong with the css, I have tried all the ones in the pastebin multiple times to no avail (no I don't have multiple style scripts on, yes I made sure to copy all the text from the raw output. Any ideas/alternatives to ff?

Does the default windows wallpaper program (?) have limitations? I used some vectors I found as well as a blank background to make some wallpapers, but when I tried to apply them with windows, I got blurring, even though the images were saved as .png.

Oh, and the images did not normally have blurring, it only appeared when I applied them as wallpapers.

First you have to enable UTF-8 Encoding on bblean. You can do this by right-clicking anywhere on your desktop, choosing Blackbox> Configurationg > Misc > Enable UTF-8 Encoding. As for the workspaces, you have to open your blackbox.rc with notepad++ and change encoding to UTF-8 and then change your workspace names. Remember you have to do this every time you want to change your workspace names to a japanese character, if you change it the normal way you'll only get a "?" where the character should be. Hope it helps.

Yes it does, but at least its a start. The next thing I would advise is getting a higher res or different wallpaper. The Nagato is just really low quality. Also Make bbLean match your wallpaper. Get a new VS and Play aroung with your css settings.

Open up your bbleanbar.rc file. (It's in the plugins folder, under bbleanBar)

Near the top, you'll see a list of stuff with "bbleanbar.item:" prefixing it.
Comment out the stuff you don't want with either # or ! prefixing it.

For instance, comment out WorkspaceLabel to get rid of the "alpha" tag. WorkspaceButtonL and R for the buttons, of course. Keep Tasks. Get rid of CurrentOnlyBUtton and the other two buttons.

this is why their is trouble with the visual guide
right click on the menu bar to get the customize option drag a space infront of the tabs then drag your navigation bar infront of the space and tabs.

now your navigation bar is useless since the searchbar is next to the tabs uncheck it and the bar should go away and the whitespace should too.

the white bar is from your visual style, dont forget to try the theme font and size changer if you want to change them without editing the codes https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ its listed as an addon but is under extentions. everything else was through editing oneechan/4chanss theme. if you want a theme similar to the one in the pastebin visual guide i still have this http://pastebin.com/SLhX67DJ just go to the settings>theme in oneechan and import it as a text file.

you can use 3d color changer or 3dcc to make 3dc themes for bb, which are basically enhanced classic themes, to make them you can install the program here

to use them make a 3dc folder in your bblean and save themes with the same names as bb styles you want to use them for. this only works well with windows classic

going with a universal calibri font, changed ahokas start page css and added it alongside the info for it in the pastebin. i dont know if you actually have to install that font, to use it, i just did cause i figured you had to.

looks good, now I'm just being nit picky but it saves as a .3dc file not .style, and you have to name the .3dc the same as the style file you want it to work along with in bblean.
like if you wanted a 3dc for bb_crim
you'd have to name it bb_crim.3dc
and it would load when you change style to bb_crim

there's also a readme in bblean
that goes into more detail

Me? It's not exactly a theme, it's a Windows shell replacement called bblean. It's highly customizable and you can download it if you Google the program.

Thanks, just made it the other day on a whim. It's just Winamp with the Halion skin. Probly the best one I've seen thus far. It's a bit dark, though, and the mint blue is a bit iffy at times.

You have to at least change the sed part to get the correct path of your cover file of course.

Then place the cover.png in your home directory beneathe the picture on the left (which I resized so I could upload it here, original is 340x340) and update it every few seconds (GeekTool again).

My script only gets the path to the current running MP3 file. I change this path with sed (line 57) to receive the album's picture (I save them in my album folder named cover.jpg).
So you really need to change line 57.
