It's actually hard to say. Aside from maybe a little bot of pokemon when I was a kid, I'd say Lucky Star was my first, but I didn't really like it all that much at the time, only watched a couple of episodes. The one after that, that got me hooked, was Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. Cowboy Bebop sealed it. Rozen Maiden freakin welded it.

TL:DR probably Lucky Star.

Apart from ultimate muscle/pokemon when i was 8, it would be Fullmetal Alchemist, simply because it/anime in general looked interesting. I hardly ever watch battle shonens now, but alphonse is still the the very best protagonist of almost anything.

Of course I watched DBZ, Pokemon, Yugioh, etc as a kid, but I didn't watch them as anime, watched them as cartoons. First anime I watched as an anime was dis shit right here. Shall always hold a special place in my heart.
