It's pretty easy to forget small details when your staring at the same zoomed in section for like 45 min trying to get it to blend, but that was kinda a big ass cloud.
lemme know about the background color curves. The dark orange one in particular had a weird arc in the original so it might not match up like you like.

I drew lines to get a sense of the perspective and then using those as guides used filter-> vanishing points to draw a plane over the top of the chimney.

I was able to get rid of the tint on the oxygen things (not sure what they're called on a gas mask) by duplicating each of the lines and adding blur all the way to 100. As far the straps though, I couldn't figure out how to do it without it looking dumb.
At the very least, someone get fix the colors from this edit, so the glowing will be out of the way. Sorry that I couldn't quite get it right.

It still has its slight glow under it, but I suck with the stamp tool or coloring to get rid of it, so if that still bothers you, someone else will have to remove it. As for the pink tones on the straps, like stated above, I can't get it to work without creating some sort of tint, so I didn't bother changing it. Hopefully someone else can fix that (178, 255, 255 is the RGB). It was fun messing with glow effects though, so it wasn't a complete loss for me.
