Apparently whoever writes HOTD does it at the slowest pace possible, so they haven't had enough material to work with to make a second season for the longest time. I'd LIKE to believe that a second season will come out this summer, but there's just been so many false hopes that I don't know anymore.
That being said, if the reboot of Sailor Moon, a new season of Rosen Maiden, and the new Gintama film AND a second season of HOTD come out during this upcoming season, I don't think I could handle how awesome that would be...
