I'm halfway through AO right now and it's just absolutely boring and bad.
They pretty much pulled the SAME exact mistakes Last Exile's sequel made
-Series with an ending so good a sequel wasn't need
-Removed almost all the original characters
-Completely different world
-Moe pandering
-Stupid plot

AO is pretty much universally hated. It will give you a bad aftertaste.

I'm only going to finish it because I'm halfway done and have the Blu Ray set.

OP here. Just finished the second episode.
I already noticed how strange the setting is, compared to E7. Though, the animation looks nice, and I'm still optimistic about the story, so I'll keep watching for now.
Honestly, I'm mostly just looking forward to Eureka and Renton grown up.
