Hey guys! I have an image here(Specifically a screencap), and something was done to it to make it look much, much nicer, but I have no idea what was done. Could somebody tell me what it was?

The original image is a screen capture from a video which I took myself, using the built-in function of my player(Media Player Classic), not PrintScreen. The video was an OP of a VN game, so I'm pretty sure I have the original video [That is, there's no higher-quality video floating around]....

The modified image I got off konachan.

I know it doesn't seem like a big difference, but when I resize the two images, it becomes MUCH more noticable.

for the record, no one answered last time you asked in the IMT chiefly because no one knew. That kind of pixel density spike isn't really common.

Also, we discuss editing techniques a decent amount in there, if I had known the answer when you asked, I'd have said it.

I don't know, but my guess would be that the "modified" image isn't modified - that it's the source image. What's included with the VN, and thus what you capped, is a compressed, lower resolution version of it.

I'm going to have to go with this. The LE of Rewrite has this as one of the alt covers you can put on it, so it's possible that someone scanned in that.
