Quick question to anyone who will answer.
How can I install new fonts on an android device? My phone is rooted, but when I use astro to move the font into the /system/fonts folder it won't allow it. Any help?

Alright jackass, thanks for the link, but it didn't help at all. I already explained that I can't copy the ttf files into the fonts folder. I was wondering if anyone knew why this happens. I don't know where the hell the "zitguanjia" folder is either.

It seems like my problem is that I don't have root access anymore. I'm not sure how that happened but I recently flashed my phone with omni and must have fucked it up then. I'll just root it again and switch to aokp I guess.

Is you have a custom rom you are rooted. Check your device settings, especially the developer options. Some roms disable root for some reason

Icons are L.O.V.E(Pink) and you need to install iThemShop to use them. It's clumsy and difficult to use but I'm fine with it.

The different colors behind the icons and widget clash with them, and make it sorta difficult to look at in the icons case, try making room for them in the wallpaper and moving it to where the hair encompasses the whole clock widget

I added the dock, changed the icons, resized the wall, and added the まゆゆ on the right. There's little details I have to touch up but I can't think of anything to do. Suggestions?

Its not so much you suck at ricing, its just iPhones are really lagging behind androids in the whole ricing department.
With what you posted the only that that is bothering me that you can fix is the light background with bright icons and white status bar text.

Ditch the battery widget, find a better color for the clock, apex menu is not needed. Hide the dock line separator.

Not entirely necessary but If you moved the TeslaLED icon to the upper left corner and replaced it with a a transparent blank icon you can create a "hot spot" for the light that is out of the way but still easy to find, and gets rid of another icon from the screen.

taking the above into consideration or not you need to find an icon pack to use.

Make a png file that is 32x32 pixels with nothing in it.

What do you mean by put the notification bar on another screen? If you hide the bar through your launcher it is only hidden on the home screen. You can set up a gesture to toggle it from hidden and showing as well.

Pretty lackluster but not bad for a first try. Get a better clock, and I'd get rid of the text shadow as well. The battery icon is sorta hard to make out, as well. It's Spectral, it replaces the background with a blurred version of the artwork. I'll look for better icons, I just want something clean and unnoticeable. I haven't directly applied icons in WB in years.

Quick question - I recently got a nexus 7 and haven't really started ricing it yet (haven't rooted etc) but I was wondering if there's a way to make it so that my wallpaper stays constant on all of my homescreens, instead of panning when I scroll through them. Is this possible with vanilla, or will I need a different launcher or something?

Not 100% sure if this is the right place, but what is the best way to go about rooting a Nexus 7 2013 running on 4.4.2? If you're going to use banners then make sure the icons fit on them, don't have 10 icons when a banner can't fit them all. Good choice on Karen, but move her to the left so that there's room for your icons and get rid of some them, put them in a folder if you're gonna go with the banner look. At max, you can probably get only four or five icons on that banner, so you'll have to cut the amount of icons in half.

Thanks for the feedback, I'd make Rei smaller but the source image cuts off at where it goes off screen so I'd have to get a new render or redraw parts of her.

Right, I've had Cyanogenmod on my S3 i9300 for a while now but all the glitches its been having is really pissing me off, apps are crashing almost as soon as I start them and I can't connect to the camera 9 times out of 10. I'm having a look at AOKP, should I use the most recent Milestone build or should I go for the most recent Nightly? I use Android Lock XT (http://modmyi.com/info/androidlockxt.d.php) to unlock it, I just use tap to unlock and changed the string for the text to a space so it's blank. Pic related, it's what it looks like when I tap on the bottom part of the screen where "Slide to unlock" would normally be.

It's not the one I'm using, since I have different icons for the ones in the bar and the ones in my app folder. But it's something similar to Tiny White Icons. The MFP app icon won't work since they changed the icon name, I just changed the icon in the app directly instead of bothering with Winterboard.

How do you guys get your Scrotter pics on your computer? It looked better with the icons on the sides, but you should use one that goes with the date widget. You should remove the shadow from behind the highlighted date, and if you are going to have the date widget be so big you might as well just add a clock near it so you don't have to shift to look at the time. Also try removing the shadows from the borders

From what I read, there isn't. Some kind of limitation made by Android. You can get widgetlocker and turn the stock lockscreen off, but as I can see you want security features no matter what (like miself). My set up is this one >>1620840, I made it in way to smooth things up about the two lockscreens and got pretty satisfied (expalined in the post). A simplistic look helps a lot with the smoothing, so I downloaded Invisible Tabs through WidgetLocker and set invisible png images to the shortcuts icons (unlock, TeslaLed, camera) and put them right above the clock, right here (picture related). Hope this works for you.

Lock circles? If you are talking about the round slider that the default screen users then widget locker is the best alternative. You can get sliders that are horizontal bars like what the iPhone has.

You can make widget locker just a slider and wallpaper if you really want to. You can find an invisible slider as well.

I prefer the other icons you were using, but that's just me. It's looking decent right now, but you may want to try and do something about the side icons. If your launcher supports drawer tabs (e.g. Holo Launcher+), you can set those extra two icons to be in the first tab of your drawer. You could also free up an icon on the bottom by getting rid of your dock and setting the icons manually while moving your drawer to a gesture.

If you wanted to keep the side icons, I would go back to the grey/minimalist icons you had before and just get rid of the gradient on the bottom of your wall. The grey icons will look better on a brighter background and the side icons don't look totally out of place.

Of course, I'm fairly new to this myself so take what I say with a grain of salt.

If you could dump the renders that would would awesome. Just the characters and the stripes, keeping the background blank. I like the new Rei one, its much slimmer on the screen and makes Asuka look less empty. You may also want to try this one, you still get the sitting pose but she is less squished together.

Like the other guy said the bottom icons and the globe section of the wall are conflicting. Move them up or edit the 5 icons you have in use to have a slight drop shadow or outline(stroke).

Like that clock btw....Maybe tone down the purple section to better match the purple in the wall.

Nexus 5 issue; Every now and again my wallpaper will resize itself to something smaller, as pictured, and it will only revert if I manually re-set the wallpaper.

The dock on my launcher is deactivated, I put that icon there on purpose for the lack of a better App Drawer icon.

The s2 came out may 2011. 14-11=3. It's almost 3 years old and the hardware is quite dated now.

But yes even 3 years is not a crazy long time. This 2 year upgrade policy phone companies have has really messed with our perception of age.

Do like how "clusterly" it looks with the episode name below and the clock in the angel. But the simplicity that you would get by making a clock similar to the episode font, and putting it below, leaving the angel empty seems nice too.
