Only suggesting I can make is find a different icon pack that is just a bit darker. I don't know whats out there for iphone but those bottom two icons are really washed out from the wallpaper.

What can I say, I'm a big proponent of lewd walls. With the whole icon thing, I think this weekend I'm gonna try and port some icons over to ios 7 standards. I miss my minimal icons :-(

So this is what I've managed to do so far, the first time I've actually tried to change my ipod's look considerably.

I couldn't do anything minimalistic due to the wallpapers, but I know this is far from looking as good as it could do.

Would anyone give me a few suggestions on how to improve it?

Well, hate to say it, but nothing new for ricing Windows Phones. Hell, I even made the damn InteropUnlock for the Samsung ATIV Odyssey, but nothing here still, except the option to make the System Text smaller and set the option for three columns instead of the regular two. I'll get around to making an updated guide, but i just really don't 4chin much anymore.

Holy shit this is true. I tried 3 different versions of pirated Windows 7. One of them took 5 hours to install and crashed at the end of the installation. I just said fuck it, bought a legit copy and it worked like a charm after a ~10 minute install.

Yea, the font doesn't fit at all. I would suggest a sans-serif font like Roboto.
You might also want to move the clock and the symbol in the middle down a bit.

Your icons look blurry. Which resolution ones did you use?
You should be fine with the xhdpi ones.
Also, your wallpaper should be moved a tad more to the left so it's perfectly centered. It should line up with the top of the home button.
But all in all, it looks nice.

I don't know man. When I use something from someone else I do the same as you, link to the original work. The reason you and me do this is because we think our own work doesn't differentiate enough from the original to call it our own, so we can't take all the credit for it.

I wouldn't mind if you did it, but I don't know how much off you are from my .psd. Last time I checked, the only thing that you've really changed was the main background in the middle. If this is the case, I don't really see a point into putting up another template that is essentially the same. I think that people should figure out themselves how to change stuff instead of asking for every little change someone else made.

Thats why I asked. I really haven't changed much. Like you said I mostly replace the middle wallpaper part. The biggest change I made was combine all 3 images into one so I'm working with a 2160x1280 canvas with rather than the 720x1280 canvas will layers/folders for each screen. I also made a layer for each colored bar that runs along the bottom so I can just turn them on and off as needed depending on the main image I'm using. So really nothing major, I just dumbed it down a bit to make fitting the main wall easier

Definitely seconding different icons and maybe a different red, that red really stands out and that might be what you want (if so, keep it) but if it isn't then make it duller like the red in her umbrella. Nice though. The battery could be rotated 90 degrees ccw if you want, there's not too much horizontal room being taken up there.

Yeah, that's the template I've been using my icons. I tried using a generic circuit board thing, but it makes my dock look weird, and just moving all my apps down feels odd. Gotta keep working.

I know what you mean about nostalgia though. I found some of those old battle chips that used to come with the toys. A wide sword battle chip is my current phone charm.

I meant all of it. This might just be artifacts made by taking a screenshot, or some rendering issue in my end but looking at the finer details there are a lot of grainy spots. The way this wall is done it should be spots of solid color.

They fit a little better. If you can extract the icons and edit the home screen set make them all the same shade of red... Purple what ever you call that gradient. If you don't know how making a request normally leads to someone picking it up.

Looks decent IMO, maybe look for a less vibrant icon pack (better to have your background as the focus, not the icons). The icons are good, just dull the colour of them (easily done in PS or something similar). Also, move all the icons as far down as you can, looks better with spacing between icons and wallpaper

Is there a minimalist & monochrome icon pack that has a lot of icons? Every time I find one I kinda like it's missing the most basic shit. It's fucking 2014, everyone uses ChompSMS, they should be an icon for it. That's not the only one I'm missing with my current pack but it's the one that makes the least sense.

On my launcher I hold down the icon and it offers the option to replace the icons. I use a go launcher icon for my 4chan app because it's the closest I can get to a clover. This only works if the icons are on the homescreen however, I think you need something fancier to change them in the app menu.

I would also like to know. One thing I've done so far is go to 4walled.cc, selected 1920x1080 (portrait) for resolution, limit to same aspect ratio, limit boards to /w/, and then hit search with no keywords typed in. I scrolled down for like an hour saving pics here and there. It also pulls in actual homescreens, though, so make sure not to save ones with icons of course.

What ROM you running? I'm not that guy but I have no icons on my homescreen, I keep my important shortcuts in a ribbon that appears when I swipe my thumb on the right side of my screen in a designated area. It's even transparent so you just see the app icons.

"Shadows" - you mean the wallpaper vignette? I'm not sure of removing it. I first tried the wp without vignette and it was kinda dull with the stock notification and navigation bars. Taking those away is something I'm not sure about doing - maybe I could replace some of the not bar elements with text, but then again I don't want to have a saturated UI.

Thanks, also do you know how to change the size of the file without stretching the image? You could use the crop tool (C) and add 24 pixels on each side. After that you can make a bottom layer to add the missing pixels.

It's equal work really, I've tried both. Either you edit one big image and crop it afterwards or you crop a big image and put it in a separate screen.

Yeah it's widget locker. At the end of the day, at three dollars, it's not that much.
I'm satisfied with it except for one bug I found (haven't found any other people having the same issue), where the notification bar can't be disabled - even though I have the 'disable notification bar' box ticked, it can only be hidden, but still pops out if you pull down at the top. I reported the bug to the developer today, so with a little luck there's a fix on the way.

That said, I haven't seen anyone else experience the same issue, so you probably won't either.

Up to you anon, I think it's worth it just for the multitude of widgets and sliders out there (there's a ~700 page thread on xda chock full of user submitted stuff, that's where I found the sliders I toyed with). But I mean, it's only 3 dollars, and I can pay that for muh minimalism.

Don't just take my word, there's probably a free app somewhere that does the exact same thing, I just couldn't be fucked looking for it.

Nah, it's usually tagged as 'comedy, ecchi, horror, seinen, mystery, supernatural'.

I'm only up to Chapter 3 (it's up to 59 and ongoing), and so far it just seems like there's some really odd, supernatural story that's about to be pulled out of an otherwise slice-of-life intro.

It's got good ratings, and it's fairly short so far, so worth a look.

I was literally thinking of getting Widget Locker just to get rid of the status bar on my lockscreen. I'm not sure how to make my status bar custom colors on my lockscreen, but I have it custom on my launcher, so basically it goes from transparent with white icons on my homescreen to default black with cyan icons on my lockscreen, and the transition is just rough. I know changing the colors of "Android System" would do it, but this always fucks up all my colors. I think PAC-Man just has fucktons of bugs that only I encounter, because I've never heard anyone else complain about this stuff. I'd love to report the bugs and work with the people who manage the ROM for my phone but I don't even know how the bug reporting system works. This has stopped me from ricing because I can't make it looks the same on all screens.

My issue is almost for sure a bug, I have been setting colors of things on a per-app basis which SUCKS, and when I change the colors for System which is everything like Settings, lockscreen, etc. it suddenly fucks the other colors. There's a setting to set global colors instead of per-app but then that doesn't work at all sometimes. I'm going to update to the latest nightly that's out and fuck around with it for an hour or so in case it's been fixed.

If I had KitKat, I wouldn't care much about all this because I'm trying for white icons, which are default in KitKat as far as I know. I do however want a transparent status bar on my homescreen so I can see my wallpaper fully, and I don't think that's a stock Android feature.

Shame about the buggy customization, it'd probably be the perfect firmware if it was more developed upon already.
Kit Kat doesn't come with white icons, I bought the SMPL White icon pack (you can easily find white icon packs for free, but I loved the SMPL style and wanted to support the developer). Try Scopics, or Scopics Inverted, whichever one is white.
The transparent status bar option is in Nova Prime under 'Look and feel'.

I switched from Nova to Apex a long time ago due to Apex having the gestures in the free version. I like to have no icons on my homescreen and swipe up to open my app drawer. I also have a right swipe ribbon with my most used apps.

Anyone here have any experience with UCCW?

I'm trying to add a background to the clock, but it just says "Loading" then goes to normal with no background image. I've tried it from my google drive, and also downloading the file itself onto my device. It doesn't seem to be picking it up.

Even when I go to Add Image through the objects, it never loads it either.

I also have the settings to equal the exact setting of the image in pixels so it's not like the file is bigger than the widget.

Am I doing something wrong?

Fair enough. I usually only use those 6 apps, but I can just hit the home button when I'm on the home screen to bring up the app drawer and choose what I want anyway; I've hidden apps I don't use

Well I found out why it wasn't working.

I thought "Alpha" made the Color background transparent. It does, but it also makes the image transparent. That's why it wasn't showing up.

I have that same problem, though I don't think mine is caused by WidgetLocker. My happens because of a rom setting that allows me to expand my notification bar in fullscreen apps by swiping from the top.

If I'm reading this correctly what you have is not necessarily a bug. If you swipe down from the top of the screen does the bar appear then a second or two go back up? I think thats because widget locker is not a true lock screen so its behavior is kind of spotty at times. The notification bar thing is just of of those quirks.

I don't think that setting is in stock kit kat. Its a feature most custom roms have. Kind of like Pie controls and extended desktop.

Sorry for taking such a long time. I'm not sure what does and does not make a good image to do this with so I put a mix of stuff in here. If none of them work oh well, and if even one is done I'll be happy. I would prefer the /m/ stuff but if those don't work well then I threw in a few character renders/vectors as well.

First of all its not a theme app. If you are looking at it as a download that does all the work you will run into problems. Changing the notification bar requires you to mess with system. Its not as easy as installing an icon pack.

If you go the exposed framework path (highly suggested) the Module you use will depend on your rom. Before you go about theming make sure you have the following done:
>Rooted
>Made a nandroid backup (just in case)
>Installed exposed framework

After those 3 have been done look into xblast or gravity box. The one you use changes based on your rom.
