What programs are you using to automate this? Or are you just changing the wallpapers automatically? I would use the Slideshow feature with WIndows, but I turn off my computer, not sure if it would keep track of the lost time.

Here's what I did:

- Download irfanview.
- Create new task in Windows task scheduler.
- Name it dawn.
- - Time to start task: 7:00 AM
- - Program to start: "C:\Program Files (x86)\IrfanView\i_view32.exe"
- - Parameters: "C:\yourwallpapers\dawn.png" /wall=0 /killmesoftly
- Save task.
- Repeat for dusk, noon and night.

I'm sure you're not a complete retard so I don't have to explain what all this does and which lines of text you're going to have to edit here.

Does this work on shut-downs? I tend to shut down my computer or leave it on sleep mode when I go to sleep. I have a task schedule set up for 7AM and 7PM and after turning it on, it just keeps the wallpaper for 7PM(night) rather than the 7AM(morning) wallpaper. I used a VBScript rather than irfanviewer though (windows 8)
