You might want to make her smaller. par of her hair is getting covered with the icons and they are already squished together a bit too much. That icon down by her leg is also a bit weird in plcement. If you can shrink her maybe you can get the placement of the icons to git better.
The font for your clock is a bit plain but I do like how well its centered. Keep playing with the colors for it as well. Its not bad at the moment but there are much better color combos you can use.

The background color was a nice change. The gray still looks a bit off but its negligible in my book because they show the day it currently is not. If you were to remove the full week counter it would look better in my opinion. Just keeping the current day centered over her head would slim the look up a bit. And because I'm a sucker for drop shadows and that render has an existing light source adding a shadow to the left side would look nice as well as putting one under her feet so its like she is standing not floating around.

I'm like 90% sure that is covered in one of the pastebins, but just in case, download the font from a site (dafont) then save it to your sdcard/cloud. Once you have it, make a folder for it in the MAIN directory and label it Fonts. Then inside of the folder you put the EXTRACTED font file. (ttf or otf). Then when you open UCCW, go to the item you want to change the font on (in this case being TIME) and scroll down to Font. When you click it, it'll show up as my second screen.

(just in case I completely misunderstood your question, you can't edit certain SKINS. There a couple that will, but like Elegante, you probably can't even change color.)

That guy with scarfsuka and the custom clock. I was going to post, but realized nothing had changed, visually at least. I spent the week goofing off and catching up on anime (first time in years). Cydget is "complete", but I'm leaving some of the minor things in since I haven't really tested it under normal use. I'll get the icons done this week, I swear.

Your shadows are all over the place. Like the others have pointed out even with multiple sources of light your current setup has light from conflicting sources. The blue and red shadows/light would have blocked each other out, wouldn't go up that high anyway if there is a light source coming straight down. I'm all for trying to get stuff done on your own, that do it yourself attitude is a nice change from the people want it all spoon fed but some anon gave you shadow done right but you done seem to use it. Honestly, that triangle flip makes me think "what the fuck?" because it's not properly cropped etc. Plus, it just looks a little weird.
The bottom music text is also a little hard to see and doesn't match the triangle color nor her legging color.

Play with your grid size to help with that predetermined positions issue. Honestly though I would suggest using something else for the icons entirely. Its a cool idea, but they are all so different its going to be hard to get them to all fit in seamlessly. Hiding the icon labels will help a good bit too. For that you will need either the paid version of Ifont, or something like romtoolbox (paid version as well) The last one there is actually a pretty good deal. For the price of one app you get a quite a few functions. It can replace Titanium Backup, ifont, change screen dpi, install custom recoveries (CWM etc) and a lot more.

the shadow coming off her left foot is cut off at the toe. The source shadow had the light source coming from the top left, and thats why under he legs are darker, and there is a shadow on her face from the horn, so you still have a conflicting shadow there. If you are going for a look where where she is laying down on that light section then there should still be a shadow there as well.

I would make those widgets larger, they are really small. The weather can just be integrated into your existing clock or system info widget in the top left. The current widget looks really odd. And as others said hiding the notification bar and removing that chrome icon will look better. If you want you can keep chrome there and use an invisible icon or set up a hotspot on the widgets to launch it when tapped on.

There are online color schemers if you need 'em.

I personally go for a main dark, then a side trim-maybe light blue, crimson red, or a neon green. THey've worked out well for me so far.
And then I did a hideous green and purple one that looked like fucking TMNT. I might've had too much to drink.

I know it does. That's what I'm using. However, stuff like Multipicture Live Wallpaper and FiveWallpapers doesn't work with vertical scrolling, so I'm fucked.

Funny thing, I actually bought SSlauncer, but it wouldn't install even after I purchased the damn thing. Though apparently Google Play allows you to get refunds without any hassle, so props on Google for that.

I took a nice AzuYui picture and just made an inverted circular section. That's how the circle was made.

The blurred background is the same picture scaled up and gaussian blurred. The icon pack is called "Flatcons"

I think with WP 8.1 its less of what you use, than what you do with it. Tile placement really. Also if you're using a wallpaper as a background, finding a nice crop area is a task to take the time to do.

StartPerfect is a nice app to get though. That has a bunch of nice things.

That's not going to be in them. How you do it depends on the ROM you run, both stock or custom. Some have the setting others don't. If your ROM doesn't support it using widget locker will get around that but you may have a couple bugs with it. I found holo locker is more stable but has less custom stuff.

Wow, I disappeared for 2 or 3 threads and now many of you are using my setup, nice, I dont know if you followed the instructions I left a few threads ago, but if not, I'll just post them again:
I use NovaLauncher, my grid is set to 6x6, I used Muzei for the blurry background, it gives you control over darkness/blur and it gives a nice wallpaper scrolling effect, you can also set it to change wallpapers automatically. Zooper for the clock widget and the FG circle, Tasker if you want to automatically set a different fg image every few hours along with the BG wallpaper.

Cyanogenmod should have an update app that will let you know when an update is out for your phone. When and if you get the update you just have to tell the updater app you want to update and it will take care of the rest.
