Anyway, it is a simple fix. File > Document Color Mode > RBG
Changing that fixes the weird glitch. You pretty much always want to be in RGB mode anyway, since these will become wallpapers, unless you plan to print any of these.
I noticed you were creating multiple shapes in order to deal with the hair cutouts. I remember having to do something similar back when I first started vectoring. There is much easier way though. Open the Pathfinder panel (Window > Pathfinder) and place it somewhere. You will want this at all times, specifically for Minus Front. Now you should be able to draw the hair as all one object, and then draw shapes over cutouts and use Minus Front to delete it.
Other than that, you had a lot of nodes with only one handle, as opposed to two on each side. This created a lot of weird hair that could be much sharper. In almost all cases, you want every node to have two handles. It will make your life easier.
