I wrole qt back when I used windows. Way more powerful then bblean (at least in ym opinon). You could check that out. On that note, I still dual 'boot with windows to play games, so I may make qt windows 8 compatiable, and start working on it again.

Because I was such a great programmer when I made qt, I didn't include what version it was made for, and very minimal documentation. Thanks past me, thats great. I'm doing some stuff right now, but when I boot into windows next I'll see if I can fix it.

I'm completely new to desktop ricing and have problems with ricing Firefox (Yes I read the reference). I want to remove the orange "firefox" button on the top left and change the colour of the tabs' backgrounds. Also, when I use Firefox with bbLeanSkin enabled, FF's LeanBar starts glitching up (even in Vista SP2 mode).

The container is inside the element with id #masthead-positioner, so you can do this:

That'll change the style for #yt-masthead-container when it's inside of an element with id #masthead-positioner that is hovered.

I, for one, use an extension called Hide Caption Toolbar Plus. The name is not the best, and it comes with a few more options than just hiding the caption buttons. Play with its settings(they're weird) until you've found what you want.

I've found that hiding the caption buttons with CSS make Firefox behave as weird as when using bbLeanSkin on it.

Now that that's out of the way: I have the option set to 1.1(glass-like background, whatever) and the custom color set to pitch black. I don't have tabs in the titlebar, so in the CSS I added a negative margin-top to #main-window to get rid of the titlebar. You can also style it completely with CSS, as far as I know.

Under Personalization, I have transparency off. Pretty sure the glass effect is also off somewhere in "Performance and[...]"'s options. Not sure if that'll help much.

If you're using as custom theme on steam (You should be if you're in this thread)

Edit wekbit.css, which is located at 「steamdir」/skins/「steamskin」/resource/webkit.css

Editing this CSS document will apply it the the chromium version used in Steam, and the ingame overlay as well

You just need the css that applies to chrome, if there is one

When I changed my colour scheme it took me a little over a day straight of editing everything, I saved some time by extracting and replacing the image files in bulk. That included my icon set and steam skin as well, so for just the VS I'd say maybe 18 hours.

pretty new install, so nothing has really been done yet. Any ideas why some programs (such as firefox) have chunky windows 95esque scroll bars in openbox, but look fine in say gnome/pantheon (elementary os is what I put on).

I still can't change the color of the bar containing the address bar. I also Have no idea how to change the background of the tab bar. Here's an image of how my Firefox looks right now. People which use ahokas- or variations of ahokas CSS are running older builds of firefox.

This is the most common one for the new firefox, I think:

New monitor just arrived, I was hoping to be able to use my first as a second portrait screen, but alas 23" is a little tall for that and I didn't have that in mind when I bought it. Oh well at least it will give me good practice fucking around with xorg in the mean time to try and get it at least configured right so I can replace it with a smaller one, looking at the configuration required kills my motivation though, I'' probably just unplug it in an hour.

Okay. I think I can work with this Firefox skin. What IRC client does everyone here use? My irssi with Console2 setup looks and works very horribly. Another thing, in bbLean some windows (like the file manager as you can see) have transparent menu bars and I don't like that. Switching to Windows basic fixes it but it destroys my Firefox setup

Is that your desktop or Ahoka's?

If yours, how do you set up the different wallpapers and change the title bar on each screen, I'd use the awesome wiki, but the only section in there about using multiple screens is about how to set them up using xrandr.

Don't think you can, just don't open files by the containing menu? Explorer works a lot better than Nexusfile does though imo.
Also that icon to the right in your steam library, click it, showing the icons in ugly.

No, I'm not using a tweaked explorer. It's the stock one. What's "tweaked" about it is I disabled a few options here and there, and got rid of the address bar through the Visual Style. Also got rid of the Folderband.

I just installed GridMove and it worked perfectly for a few minutes until it started ignoring the custom grid. The keys do anything but what I set them to. Not even the default grids work anymore

Why not just upgrade to Nightly? There is really no difference in visuals once you have developed the proper CSS.

No more pains of incompatibility with sites/plugins asking for "up to date" browsers.

As far as I know there are no major differences, though I haven't used plain FF in a while so I cannot say for sure. A lot of what has been done post-Australis release has been focused on the internals rather than the interface. At most you'd have to tweak a few elements by a few pixels.

They're working on Electrolysis multiprocess, but I don't use it because some extensions like Appchan X are not compatible.

I'm getting these white bars upon opening Firefox, tried the CSS script on nanami-tan to no avail. They vanish as soon as I resize the window, but doing that every time I open firefox is a pain in the ass.

It's actually the title bar. That happens to me when I use an ahk script to hide the titlebar and it disappears when I resize the window. The reason why yours is white has to do with your visual style. Seems like someone forgot to edit that element.
