>>1784875Yep, it is quuuiiite depressing, especially toward the end. It has a lot of 'real world' drama and characters, who don't get along perfectly.
The bird kid is the protagonist, starts out in his middle school years and ends in his (mid?) twenties. There's a small focus on love, but still covers a lot, as certain chapters are from his family/friends' PoV.
Very high quality read, though.
