Hey, I just got a new computer with Windows 8 installed, am I still able to rice it even though it's not Windows 7? I can't find anything about Windows 8 in particular on nanami-tan. Thanks in advance.

Oh c'mon, its Rob's... with my shitty edition. And I really need to check this 4chan CSS, but I don't seem to find any kind of option in settings or themes. Otherwise, I should edit the script manually and that would be hell for me.

Also, the least of my concerns in ricing are fonts, but I do know it could get better. Any recommendations? I read about it on Nanami, and I think I lean more towards Sans Serif than the other ones. Bitmap looks to tiny to me, and monospace is just too... spaced.

Holy fucking shit, you wouldn't believe how long it took me to achieve these borders! Why does Microsoft make the corners of their Windows so buggy? It still needs work but I guess this will do until I can figure out how to perfect the corners, that is if you can.

Well, I'm actually finding appchanx hard, if not similar, to rmodify than ccd0-4chanX/oneechan. I simply can't make this shit disappear.
Also, about theming, it seems I need to actually make one, rather than editing an existing one, what I did on Oneechan.

I think I never heard of anything beyond those, but I don't know any that works with 3rd party themes. The aerohack on UXTheme Patcher only werks with default Windows 8.1 themes, though.

Alright so it turns out it doesn't have any fancy activation system that makes sure you can't use a license more than one, so I found a weird and obscure chinese site with an email/key combo. It just reads from a plaintext file on load to make sure it's valid and then works perfectly. Are you on rizon?

Get hexchat or irssi if you're into masochism and join us in #/w/alls and/or #rice some day. Anyway, I grabbed a fresh copy from the WSB forums and included another folder "VistaStyleBuilder". Move the folder to your appdata/roaming and then you can just run either of the .exe from wherever. Only difference I've found is one doesn't need admin access.

That CSS is a modified version of Roberoonska' CSS, which in turn is a modified version of Twily's. I just changed some colors.

Yes, hotkeys. In fact, I felt more comfortable to use hotkeys (keyboard shortcuts) than manually doing it on the mouse. it's a lot quicker, and even better, you can customize your hotkeys.

And there's also a component for Firefox called Vimperator, I neved used it, but it provides a more broad customization on your hotkeys.

I use ctril+e for a new window, ctrl+w to close a tab, ctrl+q to open a new tab and ctrl+tab to switch tabs.

I tried using this render again, along with DSAS. So long, I only had problem with the font rendering, and apparently there's no way to change the top info pane font/font color. Anyone who uses this and managed to change it?

I hated Wine. Native support for Adobe applications and others would be nice, like Clip Studio Paint (wouldn't even run through Wine. Something about an issue with 64-bit from what I understood). Anyone who uses qttabbar can explain why it won't let me set a pixel font as my tab title font? Literally any other font works, but if I try to set haxrcorp 4089 or any other pixel font I get the 'error' sound effect but no actual message. It just doesn't set. Since bitmap fonts don't show up in the font list I'm trying ttf variants but for some reason it just keeps nopeing out. Any ideas? Not being able to get my tab font to match my VS is triggering my autism.

Right click and go through bbstyle maker, and the plugins.
Usually I disable all plugins except bbleanbar and the menu.

As for the bbleanbar settings, ctrl+right click on the bar.

Vim is nothing (It's in the regular cygwin installer), ncmpcpp is sort of a pain now.
This guide works for it now, but you need some familiarity with the environment (and a translator).

I'm having an issue with bbzero if someone can help.

I set bbzero as my shell finally, and my wallpaper is now a solid blue.

How can I change the wallpaper?

Currently in my style rc I have this line
"rootCommand: bsetbg -full "C:\Users\kuro\Pictures\kankan.png"" without the quotations of course, and "blackbox.background.rootCommand: C:\Users\kuro\AppData\Roaming\bsetroot.bmp
" in my extensions rc since it was there by default.

Right clicking on an image and setting as bg doesn't work, which is what I usually did whenever I was running bbzero over explorer shell.

Are you enabling smart wallpaper and then trying to change the wallpaper?
If you haven't already, you could trying restarting your pc, usually fixes some problems after you've installed it as shell for the first time.
