It has a basic floating window mode as the default but also has a bunch of tiling setups that can easily be cycled with MOD4+space. In terms of ease of use, it is very simple to use and configure but an advanced user still has many options available if he or she wishes. Also the floating windows mode automatically snaps windows onto the borders of neighboring windows when you drag them close enough, which I like.
