I figure, people watch the same episodes of shows or the same movies a million times anyway, and usually they are not as well done. Watching the 8 was not a big deal especially since I ate, and worked on a model while I watched it.
It was just that I literally had no idea that it would do what it did let alone go ALL THE WAY with it with no fucking foot on the breaks. I thought the eps were mislabeled and I was watching the same one twice but just watched it again because "fuck it". Then the next one in the queue came on and I noticed the differences this time (ep. 3 by now) and it started to slowly sink in. It was only at that point that I stopped and checked and noticed that there were 8 files named "Endless Eight" and that it wasn't a naming error....it was...............
Then I watched the rest then rewatched the first 3 to find all the variations between those. NO REGRETS. Again, this was the first time I'd watched Haruhi and was binging it and had no fucking idea. I was a Lucky Star fan who knew it was legendary and finally got around to watching Haruhi so it was already surreal to see the shit Konata goes on about unfolding.
Probably the biggest one-two punch of anime mindfucks of all time. I just got the collector's blu-rays and am about to binge-watch them in the original airing order. See you on the other side, Anons. I hope we all exist again in the next world.
(also sorry I don't have any good Yuki, maybe I should screencap that shit but for some reason I don't have a good way to do so...MPC-HC?)
