>>2150663>No. It would be ruined and they would completely misinterpret the source material as they did watchmen. :/The problem with HBO Watchmen s that the original comic tells a complete story there is no room for anything else really. All the loose ends are tied-up the new show is Watchmen in name only, there is nothing for the new show-runners to build on and the original story they are telling is so far divorced from the original world that I don't know why they bothered attaching the Watchman name in the first place. They should have just done what Snyder did and done a straight adaption. With more allotted time than a movie I'm sure they could have done a ok job. Not as good as the comic, but it could work.
Anyway NGE is basically the same thing the original series plus EOE tell a complete story. There is no need for any continuation and stuff like the rebuilds are just a hollow shell retracing the steps of the original. There is nothing more to be explored in this franchise and most subsequent media has realized this and has been an AU take on things sharing only characters and basic setting(Angelic Days, Shinji Raising Project, Classroom Apocalypse)
Remakes are generally shit 7/10 times they blow. I can't see what a live action Evangelion could offer that would be worthwhile.
