I thought I'd post something a little rarer. I have a small collection of reconstructed ancient ships, but most of them aren't wallpaper material. I'll post more if someone's interested, but they won't be in good size or quality.
These ships I'm posting are the Kyrenia II and the Olympias. The first is a merchant ship based on a wreck near Cyprus and the other one is a reconstructed Athenian trireme based on ancient texts and was built to test their speed (10 or 11 knots for the trireme at full sail and rowing, if I remember right) and maneuverability. The trials were video recorded and can be watched on YouTube. After the trials, the trireme was handed to the Greek navy.
