We had a lot of problems, like any couple, but when it ended I knew a good part of it was because of a fear of losing out on the freedom of my 20s and all the casual, exploratory sex I would have otherwise engaged in.
Focus on yourself because everything else is an obstacle. You are just a phase in most people's lives no matter how essential you really are. The only person at the prime of your youth who is permanent, reliable, and worthy of sacrifice is your own self.
