Well you've come a long way. I like it a lot, but I see what you mean with the emptiness. Battery bar incorporated somehow? Picture you could put in there?
Personally I would add something that makes you laugh, or smile. Old rice I found in the archives "eat your sprouts sailor" is just space filler. Just a thought.

I'm with you, no need for a home screen really. Everything I need (date/time/battery) are displayed. The rest of it just makes me smile when I look at it.

If I were you, and I'm not, I would tighten up the spacing or remove "battery?" And "time?" all together.Either way, glad I'm not entirely alone on this board. I respect your rice.
