I used to be awkward and a robot, def not a normie during elementary and middle school, but I sort of taught myself how to fake it by staying near some normal groups of friends and eventually I can now passably appear as a pretty cool guy. There's only so much you can learn though; there's something about being 'in', for lack of a better term, that is natural and can't be taught. I just don't have it. I can talk to people, make friends easy, no problem, it's really connecting on an intimate level that's harder for me.
