lately, hard science people, they are getting more and more important
all out economy depends on mostly engineering to mass produce stuff, and hard science people basically run all most successful businesses out there
all our military also works a lot on missiles and satellites and such stuff
our society and civil life too depends more and more on hard science people, google, facebook, twitter, that kind of thing
scientific communities keep separating themselves from general population more and more, even my university (chemistry) has its own print and publisher, library, laboratories, financing, events, social stuff, pocket cash events (such as lecturing or lab work etc) and so on
if you take a look at employment rates and starting salaries, by far hard science is the most secure and profitable thing to do
I feel like, soon enough, hard science folks might simply take over everything with ease and no opposition
