I'm really sorry I don't have any really good pics to contribute with. But what are some games that evoke these types of emotions. I've played a few and can vouch for their 'aura'.
- Superhot - exploring the levels for all the secrets is really cool, going out of bounds in those marble white worlds was other-worldy.
- Talos Principle - the first world is like an ancient greece styled... space I suppose don't know how to describe it properly, but its really big and open with no one usually around you, feels (as i discovered in this thread) very liminal.
- RTX Minecraft - I haven't actually played this, the closest I've gotten is SEUS shaders which is pretty close. But I suggest watching some RTX minecraft builds. The ones with the 4k textures and stuff. The slow panning shots of the dustless, vacant houses and such are really kino.
- Mirror's Edge - the gameplay is really good but kinda gets in the way of exploring because of the constant running away from the bad guys, but this game has a beautiful city. If you get to a relaxed portion, stop and take a look around at your environment in this game it's well worth it
- Refunct - small parkour type game, but you jump from column of dirt to column as they arise out of an endless ocean. Fun and cute little game with nice visuals and pleasant music.
What do you think these types of games/parts of games are called and do you know of any others?
Also would recommend taking LSD and playing some of these games, the affect is much more pronounced and memorable. LSD type games are cool and all anon, but make sure you don't kill yourself in the process of discovery.
