I'm a monster fan of the fall season and have a deep love for everything surrounding it. Crunchy leaves, the cool, thin air, warm beverages, putting on a cozy hoodie and lacing up boots for the first time, walking around late at night with headphones on. I love the freshness of the air, nothing has ever smelled so good.
This past year I spent in a tropical climate which had its perks, but I missed out on autumn and all of the festivities. Life just wasn't the same and it made me miss the season that much more. I can't wait to feel that electric feeling and take a deep breath of that first chilly fall air again.
There's something about it that makes me feel like there's something more to life than the day-to-day drone that most of us put ourselves through. There’s a quote that I’ve always liked, “There aren’t any secrets in life, only hidden truths that lie beneath the surface.” When the air is thin and crisp and electric, it feels like that filter between daily life and something more has thinned. So much so that you can almost poke through and get a glimpse of something spectacular that we’re not meant to see just yet.
