Hi everyone! I don't post often, but this is one of my favorite threads to frequent.
Finally breaking my silence to ask if anyone's completed something similar to this design.
Honestly, I've wanted this 1:1 for so long now, but the site is permanently down now.
I just love the following features (may not be shown in this image, but another similar design near the bottom had it):
>Logins - Can type in a username/password that brings you back to the terminal logged in, only with new commands/websites allowing for some "secret" versions of the same page with different content.>The message at the top. Welcome to XXXXX, the time is XX:XX:XX, etc. Reminiscent of old school DOS.>a help command that lists out all available websites to visit, like below:>input: help
>output: YouTube [yt]
4chan [/wg/] [/g/] [/z/] etc
Soundcloud [sc]
Google [g (search term)]
>input/z/
>outputRedirect to
4chan.org/z/>inputg can you power a boat using only magnets?
>outputredirected to google search
You get the idea.
Doing all of this in a full screened DOS-like style, no images, no nothing. All in a retro font such as this:
https://www.dafont.com/perfect-dos-vga-437.fontI'd give my left nut to someone who could make this happen, seriously.
It'd also be fucking amazing if you could write things like:
>save [site name] [site address] [arguments]But I'm sure that'd require a mysql database or something to save all those to a specific user if we're going that far.
If you can make this or have a template similar without these features, that's fine too, I really just want this look and design, I can worry about functionality later or just try to work from there.
Some more examples of pages like this I'd like to emulate:
