If you get a good office job you can always build or make whatever you need & be "that dude that knows everything" It doesnt need to be an ego thing. If you are capable of jumping in & filling in for some dudes you can find yourself doing all sorts of random shit.
Im a glassblower, know how to weld & a bunch of other shit. Ive got to help all sorts of people with side projects all the way from making scientific apparatus for a friends project to helping to restore a tractor & helping with a harvest or two (with modern gear mind you.)
