>>7482741Just saw finding dory with my niece. It was a fun movie but one part really made me think.
At the end Dory is in the truck with the octopus and tells him how the best things in life are unplanned, like how she met Marlin and Nemo, how she found her parents, and how she met Hank himself.
I had a really shitty experience last year, mostly my own fault, and I've been taking a very deliberate, very structured approach to improving myself.
Initially Dory's pep talk to Hank sounded like a wake-up call for me to change my strategy, but before the scene ended I realized I was being rash. Obviously planning and forethought and introspection are valuable. You just don't want to be too lopsided.
Still, I can't help but feel like I've been looking for too much certainty and too little risk.
It's hard for me to tell if the voice that's telling me to think less is wise or not.
