The observable universe is a sphere 13.8 billion light years in radius; the light from beyond that hasn't had time to reach us yet, since the universe was created 13.8 bn years ago. Some planet in some distant galaxy within the observable universe has its own ball of observable universe that overlaps with ours and is of the same size, but also contains galaxies invisible to us, and galaxies that we can observe are invisible to them.
