http://a.pomf.se/xgvakk.pngThe problem you had here was not really a problem with the image. The image did everything it was told to, your problem was your software.
PNG allows the user to save the background color values so when it's shown in a shitty viewer, you can control what the default transparency's into, but this one had some weird looking patterns. MS Paint doesn't work with transparency, so it showed the patterns behind it. I've removed the "hidden" data from the image. With the "Fixed" image, MS Paint should show it on a flat black background.
