The point is, the fact that you miss her means that it was real, and that you’re capable of that kind of meaningful adult relationship. Even though you’re not with her anymore, the fact that you know that kind of thing is possible for you should be a little bit of a silver lining for you. It’s foolish to wish otherwise.
