I got fired from my first post-covid job today.
It was an agency job for taking calls and sending peoples inquiries/ applications to the correct team through our online system. I was great at using the system and knew where everything was but was just too 'uncertain-sounding' on the phone. On all our skills and call feedback I did really well, but also considering I was the youngest in the office by a fair mile (I'm 22, the closet to me was 28) and that I was agency I do understand their decision, I'm replacable.
I really didn't need this hit to my self-esteem right now, but honestly with all this spare time I plan on really investing in what I enjoy which is writing and look into avenues to work in publication/ marketing I'm somewhat hopeful. I live reasonably comfortably/ cheap and have a fair bit of savings/ rent paid up to be ok for a while.
I just wish I didn't feel so sick all the time.
