>>5964244your best bet is to go to your library and check out some books. find a period that is both interesting and appealing to you personally, i.e. the renaissance, and start from there. knowing your shit is about building islands of knowledge, the larger they are and the more you have the easier it is to recognize and get to know other (new) islands. majoring in art history, so i should know.
if books are not your thing, go and listen to public presentations, preferably from architects themselves.
lastly, looking at architecture (really looking at it) goes a long way, but some foundation should be there to do that.
