Just got my Nexus 5 a few days ago after getting super frustrated with Samsung. I love this phone so far. This homescreen is pretty much done for now, still getting used to Google Now so I'll see if I want to keep that in the long run.
I made the whole music player in Zooper with Media Utilities myself, and it allows me to switch between my five main media players just by selecting the icon, and the album art and other info will change to whatever is actively playing.
