The highs and the lows both start to feel kind of farcical after a while when you know the next day it'll be like they were never there.
Things you own or achievements don't really hold any meaning you don't give them so they feel empty past the brief rush of the moment.
Longing for the end feels as vapid as hoping for love and riches, the moment is the only thing that seems to make a difference, it's the only place you get to be anyway.
I like learning from life, as cruel as the lessons can be, gives this faint hope that it isn't all for nothing. And if nothing else you can always laugh at the madness of it all, that or cry, don't see any other options of substance.
