I sent her the first proper love letter of my life this christmas, she loved it and I could tell she did, she's had a difficult life family- and relationship-wise and she doesn't know how to respond when she gets showered with affection, it's the cutest thing.
She took a while to warm back up to me during the year but I felt like new year's eve was a big breakthrough, she put her feelings in terms she hadn't before and I was so, so happy.
But then the night after new years, something changed, she acted really, really strange and ever since then we barely talk anymore, it's still every day but the messages are shorter and far fewer.
She swears up and down that she's just busy, but the thing is, she has the same school workload as before, the same everything, as far as I can see nothing has changed but her.
Is she afraid of something? Did she do something she's ashamed of? Our whole relationship consists entirely of communication and it's all but gone, every message I send now telling her that she's pretty, hoping she has a good day, asking how her day was is tacitly ignored or glossed over quickly.
I feel like I've been friendzoned and I can feel depression symptoms creeping up, I just want her back, it's like I have an emotional phantom pain, she's there but she's not really her.
