You need to see the older stuff from the same director to get this movie, it's not a movie you're supposed to be invested in, you're supposed to merely observe and just enjoy the ride while the characters slowly reveal how disgusting they are, the characters are not meant to be likable, any of them, they are all scum. The movie didn't even make good for it's target audience because it wasn't the right audience, it's a gem most people miss.
