I, too, used to feel miserable about myself and spent all my time on the computer living for literally nothing else other than the next day. Everything seemed out of reach and unattainable.
But, I discovered exactly why boards like /fit/ are so large. The power of whatever forces cause exercise to feel so amazing is something you guys need to experience. It almost creates an infinite feedback loop whereby it seems easier and easier to get fit.
