>>7450832I think its truly the last holiday for kids so it evokes some nostalgia. Christmas has become too commercialized and it doesn't help that we start to celebrate 2 months before the actually holiday. Its also a chore for most families, getting presents, going to family gatherings, balancing work, all while trying to retain the "Christmas spirit", as you get older it becomes more annoying than anything else.
Couple the fact that autumn is almost always everyones favorite time of the year and people like the traditions of halloween more, it feels less forced and more fun
