I use pie controls to hide on screen buttons. if I hit home the icon drawer comes up.
when music is playing it looks like this image, and I can tap it to get to my music player.
swiping up on icons opens different stuff; Snapchat>Facebook, SMS>Messenger, Reddit>4Chan.
swiping right brings you to a full screen Google keep widget ( I wanna make it launch the app, do you know if apex supports swiping left/right to launch apps?).
to get to Google now I hold home on the PIE buttons.
