I don't know what to do. I was supposed to start my first real engineering job out of uni a couple of months ago but due to corona the start date was pushed back. At first it was only pushed back a couple months but last week they told me that now I can't start until early 2021. I am going to try to contact the two places I did internships and see if they have any short term internships or jobs I can do while I wait to be able to start my real job but I don't think they will have anything. The only other jobs I could do while still living at my parents would be to shitty super wagie jobs like food service, warehouse jobs, or retail but I really do not want to do that. I am considering going to another country to volunteer but most countries are not open to U.S citizens because corona is fucking us so hard. idk it's not the end of the world I guess. I haven't lost my job or anything I just am tired of living at my parents house being a neet (even though being a wagie isn't much better). I've already been a neet for way longer than I wanted since I had to get a security clearance for this job and couldn't start until I got it. I feel I am starting to ramble now. If anyone has any suggestions for short term jobs/contract work in suburban midwest united states that isn't completely terrible I'm open to suggestions.
