3 - instead of merely copying a custom FF css, fool around with the unique identifiers for the GUI elements yourself until you know what each one is, i.e.

the following removes the tiny vertical graphic beside the hamburger main menu on FF
removing and changing the GUI's look doesn't require a visual style, it only requires editing FF css
