I recently had a breakup with my best friend. A friend that turned into a surprise lover after nearly 10 years of knowing them, and it was a blessing to know what love feels like. Without going into too much detail, it was an open relationship that I couldn't handle because of my jealousy and hatred towards one of their casual flings. After things went sour, and we both went our separate ways, we did some underhanded stuff to each other out of anger and out of grief. To make matters worse, we both wanted to start again with each other, and now I believe it's too late, and the pain has just grown since. I'll put on a stoic face and keep the same proud demeanour around friends, and only a few of them knew my pain when it happened. But after I opened up and started to talk about it to others, the healing started much faster than I ever thought.
Morale of what I'm trying to say, don't act irrationally and take a few step backs for yourself. Clear your mind and focus on what you still have and not what you lost.
I don't have really a good image to add to this from mobile, but a small step is still an attempt. And just like the road to recovery, it just takes a little effort to start.
