screens are like clothes. they really are opinion but some people pull of things better than others. and some things work well together. it's a matter of art and composition. not about whether you like the style. such is art and life.
there is no such thing as over used, too familiar, etc. since it's just from your own reference point. it's about harmony and inspiration and beauty.
