Not everyone is purely driven by reason, and for some people developing their emotional intelligence is way better advice than "Just drive and suck it up". I understand that having reason be a driving force is unimportant, but in stoicism they act like it's the horse. It advocates that emotion is this passenger that should be treated as a child rather than as another horse to your cart. or even as a wheel to your cart.
