People tend to compliment me on the way I conduct myself (for being polite, reserved and discreet), even so far as calling me gallant, a real gentleman, etc. Many imply that I am great bf material. And yet in my 27 years I've had close to zero success when it comes to dating, and the only relationship that I've had lasted for two years, but was essentially abusive. Makes me sad that, while I definitely can scratch the surface of the relationship world, I seem unable to achieve something that's second-nature to most.
