I'm just out of a 2-year trade school which really wasn't feeling like the right thing by the end. After some soul searching I've discovered that I really, deeply love science, and I'm pretty sure I want to be an astronomer. That will require a lot of difficult math, and getting a PhD, and quite possibly moving away from most people I've known all my life, without any remaining financial support from my family. I don't know if I can do it but science is what I want to do, and space is just about my favorite thing. I keep getting caught up in the things I have to do to get there and forgetting why I'm even doing this. I have to overcome my own anxiety as much as I have to overcome the physical and academic obstacles ahead of me.
