But there were some genuinely fun parts of the raids that I enjoyed playing over and over. I love the Templar boss fight and its different approaches in the Vault of Glass and I love the runaway mobile fortress run in the Wrath of the Machine. Destiny 2 has solid raids and they've added a lot more RPG elements with their latest Shadowkeep DLC. But if you hate the grind of the first game don't bother.
At least they released the vanilla game free with the first two DLCs so you don't have to feel bad for paying for a game you don't like playing. But you still gotta cough up cash for the new shit, Forsaken and their season pass.
